Product detailed description
SaBoFlex Fishing Lure Plastisol is a premium liquid rubber from the Dutch manufacturer HaBaFlex - without a doubt the best product on the European market! Always fresh - imported directly from the manufacturer to SAF.
SOFT MEDIUM - ideal for making rubber lures 15 - 20 cm
Plastisol is made of powdered thermoplastic polymers, can be easily processed at low temperatures of 170-180 degrees, is almost bubble and odor free and is very detailed. Thanks to the added heat stabilizer, it can forgive occasional temperature spikes over 200 degrees and will not burn immediately. However, this must be avoided to get the best results - at over 200 degrees the polymer chains are destroyed and torn. SaBoFlex soft plastic lures can be processed quickly and is fully cured within 24 hours. The surface dries very quickly and can be easily touched up with airbrush paint or lamination. SaBoFlex Fishing Lure Plastisol Liquid Rubber is 100% phthalate free!

FAQS
When casting shades, poisonous vapours are produced when each plastisol is heated. In order to protect yourself from these, gas masks with filter class ABEK1 are required. It is also necessary to wear protective gloves and long clothing!
THE FOLLOWING METHODS ARE BEST FOR HEATING PLASTISOL
1) with a gas burner and a casserole
This method is the best way to control and monitor the temperature of the plastisol, but it takes longer before the silicone is ready for use.
2) in a microwave oven
The fastest method but with disadvantages, especially for beginners. The microwave has poorer heat distribution due to the vortex that moves inside the microwave. Therefore, we do not recommend placing the jars with plastisol in the middle, but eccentrically! Set the microwave power to a low level so that the silicone does not burn, turn black and thus become unusable.
MICROWAVE HEATING INSTRUCTIONS
Fill 200 ml of plastisol into a 250 ml glass container, add a few drops of plastisol paint and mix thoroughly with a metal stirring rod or a simple kitchen knife that is not sharp. Then place the jar in the microwave and set on the lowest setting for 5 minutes. After about 1.5 minutes, check the consistency of the plastisol. It should slowly change from a milky liquid state to a gel-like state. If it's still quite gelatinous, don't stir yet!!!, otherwise a lot of air will accumulate in the plastisol, which will then prolong the process unnecessarily.
Now you check the plastisol every 15-20 seconds as it heats up and take it out again and again, stir it back and forth a bit (wear gloves for that reason alone!) until it's a very runny consistency and the colors are bright! If there are no more lumps and everything is relatively runny, you can now fill the plastisol into the mold. At this point, flavouring and glitter can be added to perfect the shade and make it even catchier! If air bubbles form as a result of overheating, simply allow the plastisol to sit for a few minutes until the air bubbles have completely disappeared.
SAFETY NOTICE
- the product reaches temperatures of around 170°C and can cause severe burns if it comes into contact with skin or eyes
- always wear suitable protective clothing
- always use respiratory protection
